Role Description

The Head of Business Development will be responsible for driving substantial business growth through both short and long term initiatives through new partnerships.

Operating as a lone wolf, working closely with the founders and other key stakeholders in the business you will be the driving force in identifying, exploring and executing profitable commercial partnerships.

The Head of Business Development opportunity is a blend of business development, market research, commercial acumen, product management and clear detailed communication enabling simple integration at execution stage.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying new partnership opportunities that compliment Bark’s service offering
  • Cultivate and optimise relationships with existing Bark partners
  • Help shape Bark’s approach to partnership strategy and execution
  • Managing key internal stakeholders (product, tech and marketing) involvement during new partner signups, ongoing integration and optimisation
  • Manage partner performance inline with Bark expectations.
  • Consistently communicating and brainstorming with management and extended team around all aspects of partner sourced opportunities

Required Skills & Attributes

  • Experience in business development, negotiating partner agreements and strategic partner management with demonstrable evidence of commercial success
  • Experience of working in a high volume low margin industry
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to identify opportunities
  • You will be highly organised and self motivated
  • Excellent presentation skills, the ability to speak and write business quality English, fluently and idiomatically
